Thank you all so much for your love and support on my double rainbow post yesterday, sorry I haven’t gotten around to getting back to you.
Yesterday afternoon I started to experience a lot of discomfort near my right ovary, and of course started to panic. It was only when I started to vomit and the pain became so severe that I couldn’t really breathe calmly or walk that I was taken to hospital. I was given morphine and anti-sickness over a period of a few hours and happy to say this morning I feel a little more human. Still tender but I think it’s settling 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I haven’t had a scan yet to see what’s going on, but I’m told it shouldn’t interfere with the babies which is my biggest fear and panic and I’m really scared.
All I can say is, my right ovary felt like it had burst but the doctor thinks it’s more of a bruise (I’ll add, a very painful one!) - anyone else experienced this? She said it may be mild OHSS as my ovaries are still enlarged but my red blood count was good so didn’t suggest so.
Anyway, I don’t know what I’d do without this community. I just hope both babies are okay xx

How scary for you ☹️ Although not the same but when I had my big bleed at 7 weeks the EPU told me these babies are very resilient and we underestimate how much our womb/ovaries go through during ivf, it can cause bruising and trauma for sure. Hope you are feeling much better and get a scan soon ❤️ Xxx
Thank you, I really hope so too. The doctors just been found and thinks it’s OHSS so I’ll be staying in another night for monitoring. Hoping everything is okay xx
Thank you so much. My pain keeps coming back and only morphine seems to be helping right now. The doctor thinks it’s OHSS so I’m being closely monitored and they’re giving my fluids to keep babies hydrated. Xx
You poor thing. I was borderline OHSS on my second egg collection (but didn’t have a transfer). It was so painful and we almost called an ambulance twice during that time as I was in so much pain so can only imagine what you must be feeling. Am hoping you feel some relief soon and thinking of you xx
I'm sorry your going through this hun. I hope they can scan you soon to put your mind at rest that both bambino's are doing well ❤️. I had really bad stabbing pains in my right ovary from 9-14 weeks which was followed by bleeding. I was really scared but when I was scanned, they could see it was cysts that were bleeding and said they had probably burst, but it didn't affect my baby at all xX
I’m so sorry you had to go through that, but I’m reassured that it didn’t affect your baby at all ♥️♥️
It’s all so scary isn’t it, we go through so much to get this far and then something like this happens which increases the anxiety we work so hard to control. I’m trying to remain positive and know I’m in good hands ♥️ Xx
How scary! At least you are in the right place now and hopefully they will get you sorted quickly. I'm sure your two beans will be just fine snuggled in there - I remember my clinic telling me rounds with OHSS were more likely to have a successful outcome so it seems unlikely it would negatively impact. Wishing you a speedy recovery xx
I am really sorry that you are experiencing so much pain. Fortunately I didn't experience this but all I wanted to say is that I had also pain in my left ovary after my OTD, we did a frozen transfer so cannot be compared with your case. When I went for my 7 week scan I told the doctor that I have pain on left side and when they checked my left ovary was hidden, they couldn't find it, so the pain was coming from there. Maybe it was a torsion of my ovary God knows but my babies were doing fine. Hope this will be case with you and babies will do great 🤗😁 take care of yourself and I wish you a speedy recovery 💕🥰
Thank you ♥️ I think we can sometimes forget that the physical toll of IVF is actually quite a lot on our bodies! Such a relief to know your babies are okay. I’m praying mine will be too ♥️ Xx
