As the title states, I went for a scan today and I have been booked for my egg collection this Thursday! She said she could see 7 good size follicles on my right ovary, but she couldn’t really see my left ovary properly (must be camera shy!).
I felt a little deflated when we left because I was hoping for more, but as my partner says it only takes one to work.
Just wondering if anyone has any success stories for this amount of follicles, and is this amount ok? X

I only had two good sized follicles and one ok sized and I got 7 eggs and 3 made it to blastocyst x
My partner came home to me with a hot water bottle on my belly last night and panicked thinking it was going to do more harm then good, so I stopped using it 🙈 you see and hear all of these things that people try, but I have no clue if anyone of them actually work or not.
At my last scan before collection I only had 4 good size follicles which I was really disappointed about. I got 8 eggs though, fresh transfer was bfn but we have 5 good quality frozen blastocysts. So there’s a good chance you may get more than you are expecting. Good luck for Thursday!
Hi love! I’m on a short protocol too (egg collection on Friday!) and seeing very similar numbers to you too, which the consultant has assured me is what they’re happy to see for a short protocol/ a healthy looking ovaries... like you I was expecting a bit more from things I’ve read, but if they’re happy then that’s what all we can ask for at this stage I guess! 😘 wishing you lots of luck for your cycle xxx
I’ve got my egg collection tomorrow 😬😩 feeling nervous! I will let you know how it is lol.. you’re right regarding if they’re happy because they know what they’re looking for. She did tell me she would rather there be less in quantity but a good size, rather than lots of follicles which is at risk of OHSS. Good luck with your cycle too xxx
