How many hurdles are there in this process?! Each appointment is another step, yet after each appointment comes more questions and worries and concerns, all whilst trying to stay positive! I had my final scan to check follicles today and they have booked me in for egg collection first thing Friday. I am pleased with what she can see on the scan, but now I'm worried about how many eggs/ what quality are the eggs/ will they fertilise/ how far will they get.... Keep telling myself to breathe and slow down and just get to the next stage. It's a very hard journey though. I have such empathy for anyone going through Fertility struggles and/or IVF XXX ❤️

Egg collection booked
It is indeed! Sending you lots of luck for egg collection xxx💖
Are they planning a fresh transfer for you? If so, depending on how many eggs the collect and how well they do, they usually like to try give them 5 days (sometimes 3) then they will pick the best one (or 2 depending on the quality) and do your egg transfer. The process then is just to wait im afraid. It will be a hard 2 week wait, then you will take a pregnancy test on the date they give you.
Good luck x
Good luck!
My collection went well today. All to plan. Very tired now but waiting to hear from the hospital tomorrow on how many have fertilised.
Aw glad it went well 😊 I'm quite nervous about the whole process (obvs) but particularly about having a general anaesthetic as never had one before! How many eggs did they collect? Just a bit more waiting until tomorrow then, I think we must all be very patient as we're so good at waiting for things! X
Breathe hun. We’ve got this. Wishing you the best of luck. Get those Eggies xx
I’m afraid that’s all we can do, take each step at a time... baby steps. In the meantime focus on the positives the fact that your ready for egg collection is brilliant. Now it’s booked just keep telling yourself they will get eggs and they will mature and they will fertilise. Don’t worry about the numbers, you only need one.
I was sedated rather than having a general anesthetic, I felt a little nauseous coming out but a day of sleeping and the husband running around after me was lovely ha ha, you’ll feel sore for a few days but better after 2/3
Hope all goes well tomorrow
Best of luck xxx 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀
You've got this ❤️ good luck xo
It is by far the most stressful thing I have ever done!! Just try and relax and take each day as it comes, look after yourself! Wishing you all the best for egg collection xxx
