Hi All,

Can anyone let me know a rough timeline for IUI with injections please? Hoping to start with next cycle but due to go away with sister and panicking it will clash. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi. Roughly 7 to 10 days injections then trigger shot and insemination 36hrs later. Then it's the 2 week wait to see if it's worked. Xx

Hmm not sure. I’m doing IUI but not with injections. What do you need to know? How long from first scan til the procedure?

Thanks both. Yes, they are hoping to start me with this next cycle. If my timings are right (which they probably won’t be) then I will probably clash. This has been a long time coming so I don’t want to put it back a month. Been ttc for 6-7 years and been on the treatment road for 4-5 of them but this will be my first shot at actual treatment, my partner has put it off quite a few times for one reason or another. I don’t want anymore delays. I just wanted an idea of timings X

Oh gosh, how frustrating for you. I had a few delays around Christmas and again in January and it just felt awful.

How its gone for me is Day 1 of my period I call up. At first they wanted a baseline scan so I would go in on day 1 or 2 for this. Then I do OPK tests from day 8 -and call if I surge. They also book me in for scans on day 8 or 9 usually and I usually surge and have the insemination procedure on day 11 or 12.

They also need to me go in to sign consent forms, usually on the day before.

And then cross my fingers for two weeks. I’m currently on my second proper cycle. However I know there’s some variance between clinics and even between patients at the same clinic, eg I have a shorter cycle than lots of women (about 22 days)

Good luck!!!

I’m due to go in to sign our treatment plan on Thursday, my P is due on Friday. Got the twinges already so I think it’s going to come early, which means me missing this cycle. I just wish my body would work as it should for once. Not sure why they have let the treatment plan so late and close to my cycle. Feeling a bit frustrated. Has anyone else had the treatment plan appointment so close to cycle start date? X

You can start the injections for you on day 1 to 3 no later. So if your period arrives earlier than Thursday by a day or 2 they may still start you depending on your scan. Good luck x
