Hope you're all well. I just got the following message from my clinic after emailing the assistant to the consultant. Some reassurance for some during this time.
•The HFEA have said IVF clinics can "reapply" to open from 11/5
• Clinic will reapply and is part of the first wave
•it will take 5-7 days to get an answer from the HFEA
•we do not see any issues with us reopening
•as soon as we get the green light then we will start services immediately and plans are already in place to do this
•surgery remains on hold in the private sector and NHS
hi thank you , yes i received similar info when i asked - i am not sure what 'first wave means ' ( sorry , just me !) , or what surgery they mean as I am not sure what surgery is undertaken in a reproductive medicine clinic as i guess that gyneo would be in a different dep ?
Planning now ( contacting patients to plan cycles / treatments ) to start asap sounds promising . I think that the safety/ PPE requirements in all clinics will be stringent , thanks for sharing ...x
Hi - I havent asked my clinic and have no idea about the NHS/Private protocol or difference . I had assumed there would not be a difference and was told that restarting treatment would happen in order of who was cancelled first, but the systems are probably a bit more complex than that . I hope that clinics can be as clear as possible with everyone about timelines x
