So my final frozen embie didnt survive the thaw, thats 5 out of 8, excellent quality 5 Day Blasts. I’m just so upset. The consultant at the start even said “we could get you two babies out of this batch, if you wanted a brother or sister for the first one” something he definately shouldnt have said!! I just wasnt prepared for this. Hosp have said its very uncommon and that this batch must have been extra sensitive! So have got an appointment with the consultant in two weeks to plan next steps! Anyone ever had or heard of this many not thawing from one batch? Thanks x

We lost one good quality at thaw and there was no explanation, I think that somehow makes it worse. I was very upset so I can only imagine how you feel. So sorry to read this xx
Oh no! I’ve not heard of this but I’d want to consider whether I’d carry on with that clinic and know more about their freezing techniques. My consultant said they have a 96% success rate these days at my clinic so your rate seems incredible.
Thanks ladies. I’m going to go armed with questions when I go see the consultant. I got ohss at the start as theyd upped my dose and didnt need to so this could have had something to do with it? I suppose its all part of the learning curve and hopefully things will run more smoothly with round two! Good luck to you all xx
