Hi ladies has any of you lovelies used prednisone or Intralipid infusions on your IVF journey? I have been advised to start on Prednisolone for 3 weeks then take another blood test (cost £300). My level is 14.2 and they want it to be 12 or under. On scale it was between 10-36 so I thought 14.2 was ok but seemingly not. Just wanted some advise as I believe the infusions are very expensive and potentially I would need one every three weeks through pregnancy unless my level comes down to 12.
I think we are just trying to weigh it all up and would really appreciate your guys experiences.
Thank you lovely ladies in advance. It seems sometimes we feel so close but get knocked back 100 steps xxx
My colleagues sister finally got pregnant after doing this. I know it’s only one story and the overall evidence isn’t strong, but it would sway me towards doing it!
I had two cycles with the nhs (one fresh and one fet) both failed.
Went to my private clinic was tested for nk cells which came back high and took both prednisalone and intralipids (along with other medication) and that FET worked and I have a one year old little girl. I have just done another fresh cycle with my clinic taking both again and am currently 8 weeks pregnant.
I took my first intralipid day of transfer and then every 4 weeks until 12 weeks (£350 a go 😫) and prednisalone I have taken since egg collection and take that till 12 weeks too. Prednisalone is cheap about £3 a week.
Expensive but I wouldn’t do a cycle without either now xxxx
