IUI procedure

Hi ladies,

Myself and my oh have been informed my partner has a low sperm count. We haven’t seen our specialist yet as our appointment isn’t until June. However I was wondering what all the tests are to be done before we could be offered IUI (or go private for IUI).

I have had all bloodwork done, so has my partner. Internal ultrasound. Was checked for PCOS and endo about a year or two ago when going for a laprascopic surgery which turned out to be my appendix about to burst, and none of these were seen. Semen sample which came back 9million/ml.

Hi I've had 2 iui's and waiting to go for third one probably next week. I'm single so can't answer about what tests your OH would need. All I had was bloods, urine and internal scan. My treatment is private as can't get nhs with being single. Wishing you lots of luck x

Oh thank you for your reply! Did they find nothing wrong with your tests? All mines have came back all clear already & im a very regular 31 day cycle so I’m hoping I do t have to go through all the tube testing etc if things are ok so far and things can get moving, how did you find IUI? lot of luck to you ♥️Xx

Thanks so much for your help. We are already doing most of what you have suggested... however can you tell me why onions? Have you been through this? We are looking in to start yoga together hoping it will help us both relax

Yes results all fine so no need for further tests. It was fine very quick a little uncomfortable but like I said it's over quick. Two week wait is hard all the not knowing and hoping that it's your time. Hope all goes well for you x
