Progressing onto IUI at CRGW

Hello....

Our 3rd Clomid cycle has just failed.... We have 1 prescription left to try again but after that we are now thinking of progressing onto IUI at CRGW.

Is there anyone who has been through IUI in general or specifically in CRGW in South Wales?

Would love to hear your experiences.

Thanks xx

Hi

I have had 2 iui treatments and they weren't successful for me.However I am sure it will be ok for you. The first session I was on chlomid but that meant my womb linning thin. The second treatment I used menapour injections. Very easy to use. The treatment itself wasn't that painful.

Good luck x

Hi! Thanks for replying!

Were the injections ok? That is the bit I'm most nervous about!

Awww don't be too worried I was very anxious about it all. My lovely husband got the injections ready for me and gave them to me. I wouldn't have been able to do it myself. But that's because I don't like needles! You should try you tube videos as there are some good ones which show women giving them self injections for iui and ivf treatments. The actual iui itself was easy! It's a bit uncomfortable but it's over with so quick. I found the 2 week wait the hardest out of all of it. Your mind plays tricks on you and I obsessed over every sympton! We have our follow up appointment this Thursday and I know the next step for us will be ivf.

Don't give up hope with chlomid Just yet- I fell pregnant with it on my last cycle of it and was waiting to start IUI! X

Thanks Gibbs88! I/we are just trying to be positive and plan ahead but keeping our fingers crossed (like every month) that it might work this month!

Congratulations xx

I've done ivf and iui. Haven't had a positive yet. But found iui was less stressful and made me stay more myself throughout even with the injections. Good luck x
