Hi ladies hope you are all doing ok or as ok as expected....
So we have just found out that due to my blockage of my left tube and the unlikeliness that I will conceive naturally ( although not impossible) our consultant has suggested we are referred for ivf. So my question is...
where would I find my info on ivf and what the process is next?
Thank you for reading and any info is appreciated xxx

Hiya how are you? My husband and I have just finished our first round of ivf. Would you be going privately or NHS? If it is nhs. Your doctor will send your information to your closest fertility clinic and they will be in touch regarding an appointment to meet with you. If it is private there are a number of different clinics at home and abroad. I am in Spain at the moment as I chose to go private rather than NHS xxx
Haha 😆 have just realised I have replied to your other post lol
Anyway, I’m pretty emotional tbh. I thought I was ok made it through the drs app and then got home and two minutes on my own was in tears.
My consultant is head of gynae and says we qualify for nhs after that if needed would have to be private as where we live is only one opportunity on nhs.
I would recommend that the first thing you do is go to your GP and ask them for a referral, they will write to your local hospital and funding unit for your area. They should tell you how many free rounds you get on the NHS, hopefully you will get at least 1.
Then you will be in the system and will start the process. I spoke to my GP in Feb and I finally got my first round of NHS IVF in September, it does take a while.
A good place to start for info is the HFEA website
Hi! Sorry you’ve had this news , it is sad to have your fears confirmed but now you can use the knowledge move forward to overcome the issue. Also no reason you won’t have normal eggs and sperm which is a great start, and one open tube means natural still possible 💕. I’ve been through ivf once so happy to give the details of the process if it would help xx
