Hi lovelies, so we’ve got our follow up appointment tomorrow and to be honest with you I’ve not thought much about it this past week, I doubt they’ll shed any light on the chemical pregnancy, and I just feel so deflated. I cannot believe for a 6th time I am having a follow up appointment, I’m so far over this now that I could scream!!
Sorry just a little meh I suppose.
Xxxxxx

Urgghhhh I know that meh feeling, I wish it would p!ss off to be honest!!😥😂Hope the clinic will have some suggestions for the way forward or maybe it's just been bad luck. I hope you get a plan to move forward lovely!!xx
Well no not really, when it got to round 4 they had given me the scratch and steroids etc etc, but all of our embryos stopped developing, hence the donor eggs, and now this one failed so who bloody knows!!! I’m hoping it was just bad luck as we are going to run out of money!!!! Xx
No they didn’t as the senior embryologist watched all four rounds of footage on the embryos and apparently it was clearly the eggs issues! This round with donor eggs we had brilliant fertilisation and blastocysts with Frosties and everything! So god bloody knows 😫 xx
I’m a one track record but with my husband’s chromosome translocation all the embryology data made it look like an egg issue but it wasn’t. Although to be fair we didn’t do embryoscope so they had less to review. It’s so rare that I don’t think they think of it as a likely cause of problems. I believe karotyping is a relatively cheap blood test, if you did decide you wanted to rule it out. But as you say, it’s almost certainly bad luck so I’m wishing you so much luck with your frozen blasts x
Ah it’s not that expensive? I always had it in my mind that it would the super ridiculous prices! The only thing I would say is our outcome with donor eggs was so much better, (but I’m not doctor!!!!) did your embryo quality vary from round to round? Xx
First round only one fertilised, second round they changed my protocol and did icsi and we got 6 fertilised but only one blast and nothing to freeze, third round similar protocol and got four blasts, all frozen but now we have knowledge so they did pgd and found that two carried the unbalanced chromosome translocation and one carried balanced translocation but was aneuploid. We have one left which is carrying the balanced translocation, so effectively “normal” and this will be going back into me within a couple of weeks. We were told we were very lucky to even get one normal with my hubbie’s condition, and yet all his sperm counts were always more than okay.
Ah keeping everything crossed for that one sweets. I did speak to my consultant about it and she said the embryologist saw such a vast improvement with donor eggs that it couldn’t be a sperm issue, but always worth questioning so thank you xxxx
I'm really sorry you have to go through this again.i hope the appointment goes well and it reveals something new that you can work with. sending hugs to you. xx
Well the expected “we just don’t know!” Apparently it was a bloody good embryo, but the next one is the A* of embryos (sceptical of everything right now!!) and my consultant is treating it as multiple miscarriages so putting me on claxane (spelling?) steroids, antibiotics, aspirin and the usual evil progesterone injections!! Basically throw the bloody book at it and hope it sticks!!!! Xxx
