Conceiving with one open tube

Has anyone ever conceived with just one patent fallopian tube?I had an hsg and one showed spillage due to fimbrial adhesions...Is there hope that I will one day conceive naturally coz I am not financially capable to do an ivf

Hi 0708956807. Obviously it halves your chances, but hopefully if everything else is OK you could get pregnant naturally. Good luck! Diane

I don’t know about the state of my tubes but I have only conceived once. The egg was released on my left hand side but picked up by my right tube! Unfortunately it was ectopic which is how we knew which tube had picked it up. It was explained to me that the ovary end of the tubes are sort of just floating around in there & not attached so which ever one is closer just sucks up the released egg like a hoover!! Xxx
