I'm new here and just looking for some answers really. I had an ectopic pregnancy last year which ended in emergency surgery and removal of one of my tubes. It was an awful time and it took a while to start trying again. We've now discovered that my other tube is blocked and I'm waiting for a date for removal of that one.
Has anyone else been through something similar? How long did you wait between operation and starting treatment?
Thanks for reading

I cant really say as tubes being removed this month.... i have been told that id have to wait 2 months before treatment once the ops done...., good luck on your journey xx
My friend had an ectopic and tube removed and I think they waited about 6 mths before ivf but then it worked for them first time and they have a lovely 1 year old boy! Keep the faith!
I had already had my egg collection when I had both of my tubes partly removed, this was done in the September and then I had my transfer done in the December, I started my meds in November and had a hysteroscopy in October. This was my 4th attempt and first successful outcome!
I had a round of IVF for embryo storage Oct 2016, had bilateral salpingectomies (tube removal) and biopsies in December 2017, and then did my 1st FET in March 2017.
Op went okay, I was just tired and and a bit sore. The surgeon managed to unblock my tube rather than remove it which was a total shock when he came to see me the next morning. He was really positive and said we would be able to try to conceive naturally.
A few days later we happened to have our follow up appointment with the clinic and we were feeling hopeful after the good news but the registrar who we saw soon squashed that as she said with my low egg reserve and only one tube, we don't have much chance of conceiving and recommended ivf anyway. We left feeling totally deflated.
Between us we've got a few work commitments and a holiday booked so we are going see what happens and we're booked to go back in July to start the process.
