Hi Crazy cat. I got only one tube left. I had operation in December to remove my right tube π I was thinking exactly the same before ...no Hun I still got my both ovaries and u will have too.... Did doctor mention u about IVF after ? Xx
After my operation in December "when I healed "...we was trying for around 3months before we went through IVF .... No luck π I had one cycle on NHS in March ....but was unsuccessful πNow is My first normal month after all that stressed cycle....having "fun"...of trying π . We got a doctor to go back on 19 May to talk through about what went wrong and what to do next . U wrote that in one of your tube is inflammation? That what might affecting the good tube . But my both tube was blocked. Before my op doctor told me that he is going to do everything to try to safe them both. Well after 2h battle they decide to remove the right one because the liquid there was effecting the left one what they open and repair . Do u know if u ovulating every month and what is your hormones levels. Did u have any blood tests done .? Did doctor told u that u need to go through IVF in 100% ? That the only option for u ?
My right tube is enlarged and has fluid in it, which he will remove. my left tube is also blocked but he is going to try to unblock that in the operation, but he didn't give us much hope that he would be sucsessful unblocking it.
He's said that I will defiantly have to have IVF.
All my other tests have come back normal, I do have under active thyroid but its controlled as I've had it for many years.
Sorry to hear about your failed IVF, fingers crossed you will have some good luck soon with either your next go or naturally . X
Hi Crazy_cat. Just to clarify about your tube and ovary. The ovary will carry on working as usual and can be used in any IVF type of treatment. However, when it does release an egg normally, obviously that egg cannot get down the tube, as it isnβt there! That egg then goes to waste and is broken down and absorbed into your body. Good to get rid of the tube, as any excess fluid (natural lubrication) can only get out one way β through the womb. Many consultants now believe that this fluid can prevent implantation of a developing embryo, so is best out of the way. Hope that explains it for you and I hope all goes well with the operation. Diane
I've got to have both of my tubes either removed or clipped as they are blocked and swollen. We are currently waiting to have our second freezing round. I'm a bit nervous about it all. Olivia1980 how long did it take for you to recover?
Hi Bobenhams3 . After laparoscopy not long was quite good ...about a week . But take me longer after operation when they remove my tube. They hold me in hospital for 3 days because my blood pressure was very low. Day after I come back home I start taking folic acid which doctor recommended me to do so. First natural way of "trying go"...with my hubby we had over 3weeks after month maybe. I'm so sorry for u that they might remove both of your tubes . My great doctor told me before operation that he gonna do everything to safe them both...operation was 2h.... He remove the right on ....and repair and open left one πππ I was so happy about it ...how can I put this in few words ... " He make me feel like women again....ππ I don't know what region u leave but I'm in south west ...the doctor I had is worth to travel extra miles ..... His name is Doc. Valentine πππ
