Had a lovely top grade blastocyst transferred today. The nurse said it looked ready to hatch! And so excited that I had 2 for the freezer - had no Frosties in round one. There's also 3 to 4 more slowly growing so they'll call me in the morning to update me on them. I still had 4 at this stage last round but none of them were good enough to freeze. The transfer was quicker and less painful than last time. Feeling hopeful x

Hi Scarlett! I’m also on 2WW. We had two blastocysts transferred on Valentine’s Day! When is you official test date? Im already going out of my mind with the wait.. hence turning to the forums! Help! Good luck to you sending so many positive vibes xx
Thanks so much Kat. My OTD is 2nd March but I may test a few days early as that's a long wait! When's your OTD? The 2ww is dreadful. Hope you're coping ok?! How cute that you had a double Valentine's Day transfer! I've called my embryo Cupid as it was growing over V day. Have you given yours any nicknames? What round are you on? I wish you all the best xxx
OTD is 25th Feb so only a week tomorrow! Our story isn’t too complicated. We had a cycle in November 2016 but I over stimulated and ended up very poorly in hospital so we had to freeze our embryos. We had 5, 5day blasts. We had our first transfer in March last year (actually on my birthday!) and it resulted in BFP but I misscarried at 6 weeks on the day of our scan. Our second transfer was in September 2017 and it was a fail. I don’t think I was over the miscarriage so I wasn’t overly surprised it failed. Feeling super positive this time round. We opted for embryo glue. We have nicknamed them ‘the twins’ not very original but my other half is super excited at the prospect of twins... I must admit I’m slightly scared!!! Everything crossed for you. How are you planning on making time fly? I’m back to work next week after being off for half term and I’m looking forward to keeping busy. What’s your story? Happy to have a 2WW buddy! Xx
Sorry to hear of your troubles with OHSS and so sorry that you had a miscarriage- I can't even imagine what that must be like to go through 😢but I'm glad you've found the strength for round 3! Are you a teacher? Twins would be fabulous!!!
I'm a community nursery nurse with health visiting. I started trying to conceive 4 or 5 years ago. 7 years ago I had a cone biopsy to remove abnormal cells detected by a smear test. 2 weeks later I had an infection. We know think the infection was the cause of my two blocked tubes - discovered this through 3 HSG tests last January. Had laparoscopy last April and found out my cervix had been almost completely removed during surgery so was unlikely to be able to hold a pregnancy, so I had more surgery in September - I have a TAC which is a stitch round the base of my uterus to hold a baby in if I fall pregnant. It was done via open abdominal surgery like a c section. Had first round of ivf in late October. Now on round 2 x
Wow you have really been through it!! Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you. I have been feeling super positive but the doubts are starting to creep in now. This is our last chance on the NHS and I’m not sure where we will go from here if we get there. That thought scares me. I’m a TA and a nanny, I combine the two jobs. I have applied to be a mature student and do a degree starting in September but obviously hoping that I won’t be able to start it!! At the same time it’s something to focus on if this round fails. Did you qualify for NHS funding? Where abouts are you having treatment? X
I'm on my second and last NHS funded round 2. Will either pay for one private round next or look into Access fertility money back programme if this round fails. I've been a TA and a nursery nurse and an assessor of nursery nurses and TAs doing their level 3 nvqs in the past and I've also been a portage home visitor working with disabled children. Have worked with children since I was 25. Ive got an English degree and was accepted into teacher training twice but twice pulled out at the last minute! Being a TA and a nanny combined is a lovely job and if you had a baby they would be good hours when it goes to school! I'm in Canterbury in Kent. Where are you? I'm originally from Reading but moved here to be with my boyfriend who I met in match.com nearly 7 years ago x
We are based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire but we are having treatment at Oxford Fertility. I have also worked with children the majority of my working life! Since I was 20. I guess we will have to find a way to self fund if this fails but I earn very little being a TA and the thought of going into patenthood in thousands of pounds of debt scares me! I really hope we don’t get there. Are you carrying on with work in your wait? I’m trying to keep busy, walking and going about normal routine but I’ve heard of people staying off work and I’m not sure what the normal thing to do is. I love my job and the children make me so happy and the days go fast so I’m sure working is the best option for me! X
I'm using up annual leave that I saved so doing a mixture - 3 days off 2 days in over the next 2 weeks. Last round I took the whole 2 weeks off but I think the distraction of work stops the 2ww craziness!!! I don't earn much either and my boyfriend earns more but not masses so we will have to use savings which is really sad but also my adopted auntie has said she will pay for one round out of my inheritance if I need it! Xxx fingers crossed neither of us will need to worry x
That sounds ideal! Unfortunately unless I ask to be signed off, time off school isn’t an option for me. Our 2WW is actually only 11days because the embryos were 5 days when they were frozen. Is yours a fresh cycle? Hoping you keep busy and time goes fast for you! My boyfriend is away on Wednesday until Sunday so my sister is coming to stay at the weekend but I know it will make the time go even slower!! X
I hope your second round works out for you xxx are you talking about your first round when you said only one made it and the rest perished? How far are you into your second round?
Hi Scarlett how are you feeling today? I’ve been feeling sick and had a headache. Super busy day though, I guess that’s something! Almost another day closer xx
Hi Kat I've been having a mild headache every day and still quite bloated but feeling good apart from that and no 2ww craziness yet as I'm keeping myself distracted. Wonder why you've been feeling sick? Keep the distractions up! X
I felt dreadfully sick last time, I think it’s the high level of hormones. I’m on 4mg of Provera 3x a day, 3 progesterone pessaries a day and a patch 🤦🏻♀️ not feeling so bad now so hoping it’s not going to last! Keeping the distractions up too! You’ve got slightly longer to wait than me, I’m being a nightmare. Itching to test already!!! X
