Hi ladies I am about to embark on my ivf journey in March and it's all I can think about! Anyway looking for some advice please ❤️. After transfer and like the next day did u just return to work and daily life or take time off and relax? I know it sounds silly but I'm sure so many people think the same and worry wee embie would 'fall out'?! I can imagine not wanting to stand up move or pee for days lol xx

Hi Dear! Well, I am also undergoing an IVF later this year. So, yeah! I don't know much what you feel after getting into it. Plus, don't worry! It's just like getting pregnant normally. Actually, I've seen a colleague's wife getting pregnant through the IVF procedure she had in Ukraine. She went back for a couple of checkups. But still, it was nothing much out of normal...So, just chill or get back to your doctor for it. Stay blessed! Wish you all the best!

Hello! I felt more need to relax between EC and ET due to bloating, soreness etc. After ET I had to walk back to the ward straight away so it would have ‘fallen out’ straight away if it was going to! It’s in your uterus and can’t fall out through your cervix. It’s reccomended you don’t bed rest so you keep blood flowing to that area. It’s prob a personal choice about work or no work but you won’t need to confine yourself to bed! Wishing you loads of luck xxx

After et you shouldn’t do anything too strenuous but bed rest isn’t advised. Doing gentle excercise/activities will actually promote your blood flow which is good. And your embie won’t fall out, in fact you will be able to pee straight after your transfer (trust me, you’ll need to lol) xx

I went shopping after my ET! they say you don't need to be on bed rest but just take it easy and don't go wild running about

Good luck for your cycle, we are all here to support you. They generally advise you to take the day of egg collection off and the day after as you might feel sore and the day of ET off as but the girls are right you don’t need best rest. I have in the past taken a week off or few days off after transfer but this time I’m taking four weeks from stimulation to relax to acupuncture, reflexology, hypnosis and exercise. Another reason I work with babies so it’s hard doing ivf and working with them anyway.

I wish you all the best and your clinic will advise you as well.

Take care xxxx

Ha ha ha yes you do worry about going for a wee etc but the clinic does reassure you that it can't fall out. Depending on what you do for a job I would say take it easy but no need to be laid on the couch or anything. I found that too much time at home gave me too much time to think and Google so I was back at work a couple of days after. Everyone is different so just do what you're comfortable with.xx
