Failed implantation

I have my follow up appointment tomorrow after a failed implantation from 2 frozen embryos. I’m lost and confused at the moment as our consultant keeps saying there’s no reason why and just to try again. I really don’t know what to do next or where to turn. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you considered an endometrial scratch? If not I definitely would. Perhaps you can bring it up at your next appointment xx

I was going to say the same thing. Definitely ask about a scratch. Best of luck for your review appointment x

So sorry to hear this, I’m in a similar boat, they can’t find anything wrong but on my 9th transfer so find it incredibly hard to believe I that everything is OK and is extremely frustrating.

There are a few things you can build into your treatment plans and worth talking to your consultant about :

A scratch is a good idea- they do that day 21 of your cycle before your transfer

They can test your bloods for blood clotting, killer cells etc. Worth getting like an MoT on your bloods as they can pick out things. I found that I had prothrombin factor 2 where my blood clots more than average so I now take blood thinners during my treatment and an aspirin every day in normal life

They found I have MTHFR, where my body doesn’t absorb Folic acid and Another Vitamin so I take a super dose of these every day

And I take steroids to counter act and killer cells.

Plus the oestrogen patches and the progesterone pessaries.

Fun times!

If you talk things through you can adapt your treatment plan for your next go.

good luck xx

Hey there.

Hope you are doing well. Don't worry about it. It will be fine.

I am gonna ask some questions. Don't answer them is if they bother you. Pardon me for that. You have not mentioned the reason of you not being able to conceive. What test did you take? Why the previous ones failed?

I would like to say you that having a family is everyone's dream. And trying to have one is normal. You are also doing the same. I wish you to have a nice and beautiful family.

Good luck.

I have the same problems as you, Ive never had an embryo implant. Its pretty frustrating to be honest. We moved onto donor eggs as we got told it was likely due to my egg quality that treatment wasnt working but same thing happened. Ive just had a hysteroscopy to check out my uterus and a list of bloods done like Hannah143 suggested. Might be worth asking if your clinic would do any investigations as she suggested. I dont have my results yet but sometimes its just down to bad luck, IVF is really just a bit of a lottery with no guarantees!xx

After each failed implantation I have tried to change something in the process. I haven't had a scratch so cannot comment but I did feel that carrying on regardless was not a good plan for me. I hope you come up with a plan that works for you.xx
