What to expect after failed donor egg cycle?

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect in terms of my period after I’ve stopped taking the medication? How soon will my period arrive? My doctor said within the week, but all the period symptoms had during the 2ww are gone? And when my period does show up is it going to be really heavy and painful?

Good for you but I’m sure it can’t be easy. I’m getting on ok, I’m on the countdown now to Wednesday. Crampy and headache today and so tired. Just looking forward to knowing the outcome xx

Had my period about 3 and a half days after I stopped the progesterone and it was heavier than usual.

So sorry a bfn. Have you got any frosties? Hopefully you do and one of them is your take home baby. X

Hi Mierran, thank you for sharing your experience. I’m not looking forward to a heavy period, but the sooner it comes the better. We have five so hoping the next one sticks for us 🤞🏽

I got my period 3 days later. It was pretty painful if I'm honest and a bit heavier than normal however it was good to get off all the drugs and feel normal!xx
