After a MMC at 9 weeks (fetus died at 7 weeks 3 days) back in October following a fresh IVF cycle, we got a BFP just before Xmas from a natural FET.
I decided to wait until 8 weeks for my early scan in the vane hope we could achieve a new milestone on this horrible fertility journey. And guess what, we have! The embryo hit all its 8 week milestones and we could actually see its stubs for arms moving. Totally nuts, particularly because it’s only the size of a kidney bean!
We’re so not out of the woods (indeed far from it), and I still can’t allow myself to believe this might actually happen. Trying to keep away from google, busy at work and out with friends to discuss anything other than IVF in the hope that the next 4 weeks will wiz by.
However, for those that are awaiting early scans, and particularly those that have had spotting or few, if any pregnancy symptoms, I hope I provide you with a bit of comfort for now that your scan will more than likely be grand in spite of these things.
I just have to take a deep breath now and get ready for what the next few weeks hold. Keeping my fingers crossed!
