Acupuncture for transfer

Hi

I had my egg collection on Monday and as of yesterday morning I had 6 embryos. I am booked in for transfer on Saturday morning.

I am going for acupuncture today to try and calm my body down after egg collection, but I’m just wondering what people do about acupuncture around transfer? I’d like acupuncture around transfer, but I just think it is going to be a challenge with my transfer being Saturday and then it being Christmas.

Ask your acupuncturist- mine will see people at her home to fit in with fertility cycles x

I think mine would if it wasn’t for Christmas. I’ve not made it easy for myself choosing this time of year!

My Acupuncturist says you can have it up to 3 days after transfer (not sure that helps with Christmas either) and it’s still beneficial although the main one she suggests having is before transfer. If it’s going to cause you more stress I’d say as long as you’ve had it before that’s what counts x

Well done, six embryos is brilliant! I had acupuncture on day of transfer on way home from clinic. Girl I went to was very accommodating as it was a Sunday afternoon. Hopefully you will manage to get something sorted too. Best of luck x

I have used 3 acupuncturists and all have been very accomodating re sat or sundays, either going to their home, or meeting them at their clinic which was 5 mins walk from the clinic. I think the time straight after transfer can be very calming and healing.

Hope you can be seen on the Saturday. On one cycle, my acupuncturist couldn't help me but she gave me numbers of other people she recommended.
