How long after laparoscopy to schedule FET?

Hi ladies,

So after a failed fresh ivf in June we decided to take a long break and arrange a laparoscopy to rule out bicornuate uterus, irregular bleeding etc and ovarian drilling.

I just had the op last week and they said they won’t discuss ivf until 6 weeks of healing and follow up is completed. I was a bit surprised as I didn’t really think about how long it would take to heal but now I’m thinking should I wait even longer?

Would recent surgery increase risk of implantation failure/infection etc?

And what would anyone recommend in terms of preparation for FET?

I’m also autoimmune hypothyroid and desperately trying to control that and possible vitamin deficiencies (I think these deficiencies were missed in June despite thyroid being ‘controlled’)

Any thoughts?
