Skin reactions to buserelin injections

I'm on day 10 buserelin injections. For the last 2 days after the injection the area has become red with small painful bubbled areas. This seems to settle but leave a bruise. My husband said the nurse told us this might happen but I don't remember her saying that! I'm sure this is normal but just wanted to check.

Yes it’s normal. Try injecting really really really really slowly!

For the first few days I reacted with a warm rash, it didn’t happen all the way through though. If you are concerned, I would speak to your clinic, mine have an out of hours number to call during injections.

I get a red rash every time I inject it. I pinch the skin up, go in at pretty much a 90 degree angle and give it really slowly. So far only one very minor bruise!!

I experienced this from my cetretide, it looked like a nettle rash! The consultant said i was the third person to report this recently so the drug may have been altered but she said not to worry about it but if it gets worse to speak with them about taking an antihistamine xx
