Endo scratch πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ’–

Today we had our follow up appointment after our second failed cycle. We both arrived feeling really negative about everything and I had the same feeling of dread I get every time I drive up the drive of the clinic. The consultant was running late which only made me more stressed.

But it went really well we will get a third funded cycle starting on my Dec af. We are going to pay privately for an endo scratch and the use of this new incubator they have for embryos which means they will be undisturbed for the 5 days.

My main questions is what are people's views on endo scratch and anyone who has had one what is it like? Xx

I think they do work. I know a lot of ladies same time I had my icsi, they had the endo scratch and it works!

Although I had a lap which has the same effect I think as endo, that works too.

My baby is nearly 15 months old :-)

I think it’s a game changer x

I’ve had the scratch 2/4 cycles for me they don’t seem to have any benefit but I think I’m in the minority as even my consultant says there worth having and I agree it’s worth trying. There a little uncomfortable like a smear but over quite quick, you can take paracetamol an hour or so before to and that helps. Good luck xx

My consultant was very for them I did ask about glue but she said they haven't seen much affect from it. How are you feeling? Xx

Mine is to, he always says to me you don’t fit in β€˜the box’ of endo scratches. Story of my life πŸ˜‚ I’ve heard a lot of positive stories when people have them, I’d say go for it especially if it’s something you haven’t tried before. I think better to have tried everything that look back and think what if.

I’m up and down tbh getting there day by day thank you xx

Hi Katrina1986, I’ve been wondering about the endo scratch also. Got appointment on 17th and I’m going to ask the clinic about it. It’ll be our 2nd go and because it’s the last go on the nhs (I think it’s only 2 goes that you get) I want to see if I can get all things right and all options possible right. May I ask if you’ll be on long protocol or short? I have everything crossed for you 😘

Hi I had liked in to it a bit before going to my appointment so when she said it I was very happy. All areas are different on how many you get on the NHS which really sucks we should all get the same and the full amount recommended. I will be on the long protocol again with a further increase to meds although she wasn't going to and I was happy with that, when I asked what my amh was she said actually it's good let's increase the meds a bit more. I hope your appointment goes well keep me updated xx

I will definitely be asking how many goes we have, I was on the short protocol so just wondering if they will swap but I wasn’t told if my amh was high or low etc, I’ve even bought a book by Zita West, look into her. I’m hoping everything goes well for you luv. Im sending all my hopes and wishes to you and everyone who’s on this journey xxxx

I had the scratch last month for my last cycle , it hurt but only coz they had a bit of trouble with me, but it was also over quickly and not unbearable , I had tummy ache / period type cramps after and had hot water bottle and pain killers. I am in my 2ww so don’t yet no if it helped . I would try it . We only get one go at IVF with nhs in my area so last couple cycles we’ve had to pay for including the scratch but I think for the extra Β£200 you mayaswell give it a shot as you will be thinking what ifs if not . Good luck xx

I have had the scratch 2/5 cycles one it didn't work and one it did and now 27 weeks, I figured I had nothing to lose by having it, we also used the embryo scope incubator which enables them to monitor your embryos without touching them xx

I’ve had two. Both on fets. I got two bfps from them. On our fresh round we used the embryoscope which you’re describing and embryo glue but it was a bfn. We also used the glue on the two fet transfers. Good luck xx
