Our yd had more luck when charting her bbt than using OPK’s when she was trying to pinpoint ovulation. She used the fertility friends app, she’s 8 weeks now. Good luck xx
2 lines doesn't mean it is a positive test. The second line has to be the same or darker than the control line. It's normal to pretty much always get 2 lines. Mine build up in colour gradually over the days leading to a positive, which is helpful as it helps me predict when the positive will come. I then get a positive (second line usually darker than the control for me) and then the second line disappears the day after. I ovulate sometimes the evening of a positive test, sometimes the next day, I only know this as I suffer with ovulation pain, which I guess is helpful. I do also do my temperature to confirm ovulation, but that is no good for telling you when you are going to ovulate as your temp will rise the day after you ovulate which is too late. X
Yeh I knew about the darker line. Mine have been dark then light then dark again. So three days ago it was a definite positive, then it went light day after. But again this morning it’s dark!
The only way to confirm ovulation is by doing opks and charting your temperature every day. An opk only shows the surge, indicating that ovulation should take place within 12-24 later. The only confirmation that ovulation has taken place is by seeing three consecutive rises on your temperature chart. They will be sustained either until Af shows (then drop off again) or you get a bfp, in whole case temperatures will remain elevated. It really is worth doing both; opks with temps to back it up as it saves confusion. Good luck xx
Ok then I’m stumped. I don’t have that problem, I always see the pattern. I stop testing after a positive opk. Are you sure you’re ovulating this month? Perhaps it’s anovulation? It’s been 10 days since your “positive” so hopefully you’ll know one way or the other soon enough xx
Who knows with my cycles, I wasn’t expecting to get a positive at all. I normally take them every couple of days throughout my cycle, just to see as my cycles can be 90+ days. And consultant said if that’s my cycle length I’m probably not ovulating!
Had my lap about 6/7 weeks ago now. And still haven’t had a period, not sure what’s happening now. If I even have ovulated. So who knows! I could be waiting another 30 days for a period!
I’m on cd 57 today! With possible ovulation on cd 50!
