My delivery arrived today and I have currently started on my long protocol.

Do I have any cycle buddies that have recently started on the long protocol or have done before?

There’s so much to take in and hope I have made all the changes I need, I’m still not sure if I should be taking more vitamins that I am? I’m only taking pregnacare multi vitamin..

Any advice or support is welcomed ☺️

Best of luck! Just finished my 2 weeks of down reg and start stims tonight. Vitamins sound just fine to me! xx

Good luck with your stims! I’m so nervous for it all but excited at the same time.. I’m on down reg for 3 weeks xx

You'll do great. We all under estimate how strong and amazing we are - really should give ourselves more credit! Last cycle I found the injections quite hard and I was so nervous about messing them up - better this time but still not looking forward to mixing up the stim meds tonight tho 🙈💉💉

Yeah I agree we definitely should!!

Oh no is it a pain to mix them up? I’m sure you will do absolutely fine!

It’s all the unknown until I get used to it xx

Just a faff and I'm usually fingers and thumbs trying to move the liquid between the bottles... makes the down reg jabs feel like a breeze in comparison 😂. I was ok when I had a run through with the clinic so 🤞🏻🤞🏻xx

Hi Chantelle,

I’m not currently doing a long protocol but I just wanted to wish you the best on your journey. Make sure you take time to rest as some of the medication can take it out of you, mainly the down regulation I remember, and it really helps to have a good support group around you.

I took a prenatal vitamin and drank quite a bit of milk which I read was good and drank beetroot juice and ate Brazil nuts as well.

I’m currently 32 weeks waiting for our little arrival so it does work!

Fingers crossed and all the best! Xx

Hi Chantelle, I've got very similar timings to you! Im doing my second cycle, which will be a FET so a bit different, but I started down regulation last week.

Even though I've done it before and I know what's to come physically, I feel really overwhelmed. But I am finding sharing my experience on here really helpful! I'm trying as much as possible to not think about everything that's to come and just take one step at a time.

I was taking a multivitamin for so long, so I'm now just taking folic acid and vitamin D. Xxx

Best of luck I found that setting a daily alarm for my drugs on my phon helped, as I was terrified of forgetting a day which i did on my first cycle and it set me into a panic. I took CoQ10 and melatonin on my second cycle and my egg quality improved this was after reading ‘it starts with egg’ but the melatonin was only at a certain point in the cycle I think it was just before eggcollection I can’t find my book to check. Also took a protein shake daily as recommended by ziti West again tho I only did on 2nd cycle and got better results including a frozen embryo which I didn’t get on my first cycle as allquality was so poor . Good luck

I'm on a long protocol had my prostap 2 weeks ago got my scan tomorrow and start my home injections .... So I'm right behind you ☺️ it's my first cycle so I don't have all the knowledge like some of the lovely ladies do on here.

But I wish you all the best hun 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks hun xxx I know it's so daunting I don't think anyone can prepare you for this journey but I've found this forum and the lovely ladies on it very helpful and supportive.

Hi, I'm similar timings to you. Got my delivery of drugs two weeks ago so have been sniffing twice a day, got my first scan this Tuesday before starting injections.

I've not had any side effects from sniffing yet (I forgot what the drug is called) and had a withdrawal bleed .

This is my first round (one shot on NHS) been a mix of emotions these past two years leading up to it and is now exciting and daunting to be at this stage.

Good luck with everything and feel free to contact me as I'm slightly ahead so might be able to help with questions x

Amazingggg this stage is so exciting 🤓I made sure to have an egg or two every other day, plenty green veg and water or natural juices or smoothies. I also took L'argenine (holland and barret) as a little boost anda spoon of Manooka (holland & Barrett) hunny each day. And in transfer day i went home put my feet up and had plenty pineapple including the heart as it's meant to help with plenty water and noooo heavy lifting x
