Embryo transfer advice

Hi All,

Just after some advice if possible? I had one embryo transferred on 4th October, I am due to test this Sunday, but tested today as was really impatient, and got a negative result, has this happened to anyone else? They say to test again as it can change, however 3days early... so not likely I imagine?

Hi there! I had such situation, but on my due date I received a BFP. Unfortunately, it ended in MC. But it was my case and my health. Your case is different. Many ladies here were also impatient and thus frustrated, but in the end they did get pregnant. I know that 2ww is a torture, but please try to be patient and wait for your test day in order to avoid any disappointments. Hugs to you and loads of baby dust!! 🌌

Try doing the test on Saturday I hope you'll have a good news. Sometimes it doesn't shows as its too early.if you do the test again on 15th or 16th October then hopefully you'll be able to see the result😀

Thank you Shan, it's just if this was successful I would be one month pregnant, so logically to me that would be four weeks Sunday, surely thats late enough to tell? And I'm only 3 days away from that Xx

So you are 2 weeks wait right? I think you are going for blood test on 17th October?

I haven't been told about blood test Hun, all they said is conception is classed from first day of injections... so for me on Sunday would be one month... my two week wait is Sunday? I'm not really sure how it all works being honest Xx

As I understand it, When you conceive naturally they use the first day of your last period as the start of your pregnancy, the reality being that you probably conceived a couple of weeks later around ovulation. So if you conceive naturally you can never really be 2 weeks pregnant, if that makes sense.

I understood with ivf the first day of pregnancy is the egg collection date.

I don't think I would ever be brave enough to take a test before the test date, I think everyone who does that is really brave! AF usually arrives before my test date! Fingers crossed next time it doesn't!

Conception is date of egg collection and also classed as day 14 for pregnancy purposes. Date of first injection shouldn't have anything to do with it because everyone injects for different lengths of time. What day transfer did you have? 3 or 5? If 3 then you've definitely tested too early - if 5 then I'd say borderline. I think you're supposed to be able to detect from 9dp5dt but have heard of ladies not getting BFP until day 10 or 11. Hi Lynn,

I had eggs collected 29.09.17 egg transfer 4.10.17 one blastocyst embryo... it doesn't look good to be honest If day one of pregnancy would be 29th then that makes me 13 days? Sorry I'm totally new to this! 💔 Xx

Yes, you're currently 8dp5dt so 13 days. There are definitely ladies who have got a BFN at your point then gone on to have a BFP. If you google the timeline of embryo transfer you'll find a few sites telling you a BFP won't show until 9dp5dt so it's not totally over yet. I'd wait a couple of days then test again. Fingers crossed!

It's 2 weeks wait n you can do the pregnancy test on day 10

Hi Em,

I only tested Hun, because the symptoms I had stopped... which of course could be a sign of pregnancy or a side effect of medication... otherwise I would not of tested... I'm pretty sure it's over for me 😥 xx

I wouldn't get too down at this stage, there has to be a reason why they ask us to test 2 weeks after transfer and surely that is because it takes that long for the hormones to be noticeable in a test. Test again on the date the clinic told you to and try and stay positive until then. Good luck.

This is my 2nd icsi round and my test date is tomorrow.. after going through this process i came to know i have hell lot of patience 😂 in last round i didn't take HPT and eeven this time i ll go for blood test tomorrow at my clinic.. fingers crossed.. good luck.. may you get a BFP on sunday😊
