Cyclogast/Progesterone in 1st trimester

My clinic recommend you continue this through your first trimester. My OH doesn't like the idea of extra artificial hormones , surely my body is producing enough now I'm pregnant.

Is this normal to continue during the first trimester? Anyone stop taking it after BFP?

I'm on progesterone injections for first 12 weeks. I'm pro anything that supports this pregnancy! I'm keeping to what the professionals advise. At least this is one less worry as I know that the progesterone is in my system!

I'm on the pessaries, would have preferred injections in some ways as you know you're getting the right dose.

I agree, I'll do what they tell me, anything to make this a succes

My oh has to inject my bum every morning! 😂 very romantic. And your bum aches in the evening! Ahh but can't complain 👶🏻

True love! I injected myself with the other meds pre harvesting, my OH would be useless at that

Oh I am OcD about injecting, he did none of my down regs or stims. But I can't reach this injection site and the nurse was very specific about my hubby doing it! After 7 weeks I now trust him 😅

I'm glad I'm on the pessaries so, not sure how I'd manage as I travel a lot for work.

Same here. I have my progesterone and cyclogest till my first scan and then will see what doctor says.

So you're on injections and pessaries?

Yes. Correct. I have 3 injection per day and twice pessary plus other things. It's crazy ☺️

Gosh! I can't really complain so, twice a day pessaries don't seem so bad now!

All clinics seem to continue it but each clinic stops it at various points, I guess it depends on the individual clinic.

I'd say it's worth taking as long as the professionals advise you to take it for, it must be necessary otherwise it would be optional.

Xxx

I was on pessaries until 12 weeks xx

Weird how they're all different

I would just go with what your clinic advise. They've got you this far and it wouldn't harm you. X

I called them today, apparently I only have to take for 8 weeks as it was a fresh cycle. Isn't It strange the clinics are all different

I did until 12 weeks. Apparently the medication we take beforehand lowers your progesterone level hence why we have the progesterone as the pregnancy needs it xx
