So after almost a year of waiting, we're finally ready to begin IVF and I only have to wait for my period to start. Only problem is it's gone AWOL and I'm never, ever late. I have really regular periods but the stress of everything has obviously knocked my pattern. I'm now 4 days late which doesn't sound much but it's all I can think about. I even took a test which of course was negative. Anyone else experienced this? Any tips on speeding things up?
It's so typical...the one time you want AF to show up...

Oh my gosh this happened to me! I was due my period on the Sunday/Monday and needed to call the clinic as soon as it came to meet and arrange meds before my 2 week holiday on the Friday. I am never ever late but my period came on the Friday 5 days late!! The one and only month I actually wanted it to arrive! Those 5 days were torture.
Luckily I was able to meet the nurse and have my meds delivered the day I got home and start that same day! Nothing like cutting it fine! Think our bodies like to just throw us one last spanner.
No tips to hurry it up I'm afraid but hopefully it won't be long for you now so you can get started.
Sorry, no tips but just wanted to say that the same happened to me. Mine was 5 days late and I was teased for those 5 days with pink spotting so every time I went to the loo I thought finally, this is it. But no! I think the stress of waiting for it to happen definitely takes its toll on our bodies. Hopefully she shows soon!
Exactly the same happened to me! Very annoying that when you don't want them to come the do and when you do want them they don't come!! I'm about to go for my second scan. Don't worry you will start soon and the waiting will be over. Thinking of you Hun xxx
Thanks everyone. It certainly seems like the norm then. So annoying BUT I started yesterday evening - around 4/5 days late. I can finally start this journey - first injection on Saturday! Wish me luck x
