Story so far.....so close.....and the witch is here!

Hello lovely people

So I thought I'd update on what's been happening with me. It's great to see so many BFPs on here recently!!!

So we had a first cycle back in March. Tested day before OTD with a faint line, OTD with clinics test did not come up in the 3 mins allocated, and the instructions were very strict that if no line in 3 mins it's a fail. I had already started spotting, and the next day was bleeding. In my mind I didn't see how this could result in a pregnancy. I must admit I think I talked the nurse into letting me stop taking the pessaries.

AF came and went (though no heavy as expected) and a couple of weeks later had a heavy bleed which continued. Went for HCG and score was 2,400. Turns out I was pregnant. Have been going for weekly blood tests to check HCG coning down, and about 6 weeks later it's finally <5. Being labelled as having a miscarriage when I never even thought I was pregnant.

What a frustrating process and so many what ifs. How were we to know?

So clinic says we need to have 3 periods before we start again ( well me, not DH!!). Today, only 2 days late my second period came. And still because it was late I thought perhaps there's a tiny chance I could be pregnant. Of course not, the 3 certain things in life are death, taxes and the witch!!

So one more to wait then we can begin again. We have 4 frozen embryos which we're incredibly grateful for, so will be trying natural frozen cycle. I can't wait to get on with it, in the meantime so many friends, family, colleague have fallen pregnant that I'm scared to socialise now for fear of another announcement. Focussing on myself for the next month, have a busy month of work and roll on Aug!!

Thanks for reading and I'll be posting again in August. Hope you all are doing well whether you're just starting out, injecting, 2ww-ing, recovering or BFP-ing. You ladies are all amazing and have given me a lot of strength xxxx

Sorry to hear about your loss, I would have been just like you have had so many bfns that I don't even test any more the first sign of spotting is when my heart sinks. This is a good reminder that spotting may not always mean a bfn! Love how you call it the witch, perfect description e. Good luck for your FET, amazing that you have 4 embies the odds are surely on your side & as you say there's been so much good news on here lately that gives you great hope X
