Hiya, me again! Just did my 3rd merional injection on my left side (alternate each day) and I'm finding that the solution is a tad resistant on going through. I'm assuming it's the needle (yellow top) because it's tiny. Am I just being daft? Been brave about it but I've just had a funny turn and had to lie down π injections like immunisations/blood tests have made me faint before now π±. Anyone else in this situation? Also when pinching the skin whilst putting the needle in is it best to let go when plunging the solution in? I'm a first timer with all this π¬ so apologies xx

Hey, I used merional on my ivf round and I used to sit down & pinch an inch as they say, inject the needle (slowly cause Im a wimp ha) then would let go and gently push in the solution. I found that was the best way for me. I also used to ice the area for 10 mins before I injected so if it was a bit harder to get the injection in I never felt it. π x
Thankful for the reply. I'm fine with the needle as I don't really feel it. It's the solution not wanting to go in fast enough and it makes me panic that I'm not doing it properly but it does get in eventually. It's the build up to it also. Did you stay on merional and then start cetrotide? That's what I'm on and it's short protocol. Next scan is Wednesday π€π»x
I think as long as it goes in eventually you'll be fine with it, I used to purposefully do it slowly. I was on short protocol too but I was just kept on merional all the way through. Good luck with your scan next week I was told drinking a lot of milk & then using a hot water bottle at night after injecting for an hour helped with the eggs so I did that too πxx
Hi. First of all well done with the injections. I'm the same, have been known to pass out having a blood test. Lol. If found that it actually hurts less when you don't pinch the area. Inject very slowly and take a few slow deep controlled breaths whilst pressing slowly on the plunger. If you are feeling resilience slow down. I wish you the best of luck x
