Had my egg collection on Wednesday and my stomach is so sore. It feels like awful trapped wind (tmi) and it’s massive! I feel like I’ve eaten 10 baguettes! I rang the hospital and they said it’s nothing to worry about as I’ve got no other symptoms of OHSS. Anyone else had this? It’s driving me mad 😕

Massive stomach and pain
That’s how I felt, I was writhing around feeling the most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt and like a balloon. It went away after about 3 days so it should ease up soon. Xxx
10 baguettes really made me laugh 🤣
have you tried peppermint tea?
hope you feel better soon. sending good vibes 🤞🏻✨
I had that. It is so horrid. Drink plenty and look after self it will get better ☺️
Forgot to ask, how did it effect your egg transfer? X
Yes I felt bad after mine thought my endometriosis was back i had it two days after ec and I’ve felt fine since. Just a bit of tummy ache every now again. Hope you feel better soon x
It’s normal. I had pains for a week!
OMG isn’t it the WORST?! I had EC Weds as well. I wore a baggy outfit today as was convinced people would think I was pregnant. I so wasn’t prepared for this! Good to hear others have had the same thing though and it gets better! When’s your transfer? Xx
Try peppermint cordial in some hot water, I had surgery to remove a Fallopian tube on Wednesday and I was given this shortly after to reduce the wind I was getting and it actually did help, just take small sips and hopefully it’ll ease the bloating. I totally get how you feel I’m still getting feelings of trapped wind and it’s actually worse than the pain from the surgery. Look after yourself xx
I didn't have pain but my stomach was huge and still is super bloated. Try not to worry about it everyone gets different symptoms xxx
Yes I did. Luckily it went away after about 3 days after transfer but it was pretty painful. And it didn’t effect the transfer except it was pretty uncomfortable to have a full bladder and have someone press down on my stomach to get an ultrasound image during transfer.
Until it resolved itself, I Couldn’t lie on my side and yes felt like lots of something trapped inside that couldn’t get out.
That’s great thanks for your advice. Thankfully although it’s still huge, it’s a lot less sore today. I was beginning to get worried yesterday x
