Bfn feeling awful

To leave it a few months or just go straight back to it. Arguing with husband as feel he never made an effort of giving up smoking and forgetting his vitamins. He had kids had a vasectomy reversal 3years ago low sperm count. I feel heartbroken and wanting too hide from the world 🌎

So, so sorry. It's a tough journey.

I agree, it's unfair for your husband to continue smoking, especially when this can impact on sperm. Have you tried to speak with him about this? Does he give you a reason for why he won't stop?

After my first failed IVF I didn't want a break, I wanted to try again straight away (but my clinic say we have to wait 3 months before trying again) looking back I'm glad they have this rule, honestly time really is a healer. A break might do you good, allow yourself to grieve and come back fighting ready to go again.

It'll also give you time to chat with your husband and hopefully he'll give up smoking. My partner is the same with vitamins, I have to give him his. Thank god it's us who have all the injections and tablets to take, they'd never remember if it were them xxx

Sorry to here this littledee. All those 'what ifs' come into play. But take your time, go to your next consultation and they can give you an idea how to improve the next cycle if you wish to move forward. Take some timeout to do the things you enjoy together again! ❤️

Hi Littledee88. So sorry to hear this. Hopefully your partner will realise that you both have to be committed to any treatment cycle and preparation beforehand. You will probably have to wait a few months before trying again - time to improve things hopefully. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi Littledee88. In that case, they may try a different protocol, so as not to "switch off" your ovaries too much. I do have a couple of lists of questions I could send you if you want, so you can look through before you go back. Too long to add here, but if you email me in confidence to support@fertilitynetworkuk.org I will send them to you. I finish here in a few minutes, but will get back to you on Monday, if you want them. Diane

You need to wait for two-three months. Your body needs to heal. Take care of yourself.

Hi

My clinic were happy for me to start again after I had a proper normal cycle. My body went straight back to my 28 day cycle after unsuccessful ivf but unfortunately my head didn't! Speak to your clinic about DHEA, I have poor quality eggs and low Amh (I think this means ovarian reserve) and my clinic have suggested I take DHEA. I am giving myself a 3 month break to give the DHEA time to work and I am feeling more positive again.
