Movements slowed down with anterior placenta?

I think it's normal, my little lady has been really active the past two days but today not so much but I defo notice if she's kicking where the placenta is its not as strong than when she's kicking where it isnt. I think if I went all day without feeling anything I would defo be getting checked, hope all is going well x
Hi Del, have not been on here much this week but wanted to say that I am 19 + 2 with Anterior Placenta and haven't felt a thing yet. Starting to panic a wee bit! When did you first feel your little one? Thanks xx
Hi Del, my wife had a very similar situation, her placenta was the same... and movements wer not as frequent in the first few weeks but now our little girl can't stop moving lol. Wife is now 37 weeks and due on October.
All is ok and going well , so Dont worry too much about it, its actully quite common we wer told
I had reduced movements but a low letting placenta and had it checked out. They said that the baby has just moved positions. guess it happens at this stage when they have a bit of room to move.
Have an anterior placenta too and only now at 28 + 4 do I feel him reliably and even then it is pretty sporadic depending on his position, time of day, what I've eaten etc - has been really hit and miss since about 22 weeks and have felt very worried at times - try not to worry though - all was ok when you got checked out so just hold on to that and just keep going in to maternal assessment if you need to! I certainly plan on popping in there a lot over the next few weeks if needed! I've found a lot of midwives don't understand the monumental struggle it has taken a lot of us to get this far so just do what you need to!xxx
If you're worried about movements (whether anterior or posterior placenta) ALWAYS go and get checked out.
I'm a Midwife and I would rather be rushed off my feet with women coming in worried about movements and everything be fine than a woman not coming in and there be something wrong.
Towards 26 weeks you should feel a pattern developing and if that pattern changes then you always need to ring your hospital. Even if the midwife has a listen into the heartbeat and sends you on your way then at least you can relax a little bit.
My intention isn't to scare people but I just wanted to say from a midwife point of view.
