Nerves & Doubts :-(

Anyone else suffer with nerves and doubts throughout the IVF process? Got my first scan tomorrow to see if I've produced any follicles after being on a menopur for a week and the nerves have hit - are the meds working? Have I produced any follicles? Such an overwhelming feeling - driving myself crazy!

Yes completely normal!! There are just so many hurdles to jump through! I'm sure it will be fine, once this first scan is done and you know you've responded you can relax a little, until the next big hurdle!! Good luck hope all is well xxx

Thanks for your reply sweet, felt exactly the same last week when going for my down reg scan! Manage to stay positive then a day a 2 before appointments the nerves kick in x

All totally normal, I was as nervous during my 4th cycle as I was my first even though I know the process. Hopefully after today you'll feel more reassured, lots of luck xx

Hi Shanks, it's normal. I'd say it's inevitable and no matter what stage of the process you are at, there is always something that pisses you off and make you quite distressed. now you are worrying about follicles, then you'll worry about fertilization and quality of your embies, then implantation, 2ww, pregnancy itself. Try not to panic and don't forget about positive thinking, you'll be okay xx

IVF treatment can take an emotional toll. Going through IVF treatment can be a highly emotive and stressful experience. For patients undergoing treatment, it can be physically and emotionally demanding. For partners it can be difficult to watch a loved-one go through a stressful experience. Some people may be concerned about ethical issues. The idea of selecting some embryos and potentially discarding others may not sit well with everybody. Before starting treatment, consider your own stance and what you would be comfortable with. Do only what you believe is right for you and wish you good luck on your journey!

Just been for my scan got around 16 follicles (can't remember exact number) they are a little on the small size so I've had my meds increased and got to go for a rescan on Monday! Feeling so relieved thank you everyone for your support xxxx
