2ww nerves

Am currently on the 2ww and full of nerves. I am regretting being at work but in a way I'm glad as my mind is distracted. How is everyone else on the 2ww getting on?

6dpt5dt here with test due on the 27th. Very snappy, got cramps, a few hot flashes and feel nauseous sometimes. Presume this is the progesterone kicking in. Oh also got this ivf cold thing where you feel like your under the weather.

Was getting a bit down and very nervous but weirdly watched you've been framed and it's lifted my mood.

How long have you got till testing? X

Hi Katrina,

I'm also back at work. It is good to have a distraction but also hard as I feel totally disengaged from all my colleagues and my mind is working slower than usual. I'm struggling to focus in meetings and I think I'm not only anxious about the 2WW but shell shocked from the whole IVF process (this has been my first time). I was very stoic throughout the whole thing and now my emotions are all flooding out. Weirdly I've bonded with a work colleague whose marriage ended last week because she has some of the same feelings of being alone in her experiences and not telling anyone at work. It is funny how difficult it is to cope with a job when your personal life becomes complicated.

I hope your 2WW is going well and rest assured that whatever you feel now there is someone feeling the same thing too...out there somewhere! ☺

Hi Katrina1986, I'm only 3dp3dt but quickly losing my mind! I'm off work this week, part of me wants to go back to get some normality back in my life but the other part of me is so emotional that I don't think I could handle it. Think finding out my SIL is pregnant yesterday has completely thrown me for 6 😢 Zero symptoms whereas the last 2 times I had cramping from pretty much day of transfer, although they did both end in chemicals. The 2ww is so bloody hard isn't it! Good luck for the rest of your wait xx

I'm the same, now 4dp transfer and zero symptoms other than sore boobs and bloating, both of which were there before egg collection! Cannot stop worrying it hasn't worked.... 🙁

It is! I've stated getting cramps today like my period is about to start 🙁 I'm praying it's just side effects of hormones rather than failed cycle..., another week to go until test day!

The consultant told me that the pessaries mimic the function of ovulation and that's why it always feels like af is coming but it's nothing to worry about xx

I also have zero symptoms too except for slight cramps, all of which I think is progesterone. Don't worry! It is my first cycle too so I know just how you feel! You have no idea what to expect!

Is anyone else losing their marbles? I put my hat on top of the car roof and drive off. Lost my house keys within 10metres of the front door which took 30minutes to find them. I thought I was 8dpt but turns out I've lost the ability to do maths and I'm 7dpt. Can I blame the progesterone?

Yes! My brain is so slow I can barely make sense when talking at work! Don't you wish you could just sleep through this period or somehow speed up time! ☺

Oh no that's not good. I think I have got quicker so people go away and leave me alone. I know that sounds bad just don't want people fussing over me as makes me panic more. Just think week one is almost done 😊 Xx

I still have discomfort from egg retrieval last weds. so I called the clinic and they said cramping is normal due to all the hormones used before retrieval then the actual process. To top it off the gel you use after causes cramping so just trying to go with the flow for now. X
