I had my ET on Sunday (so now 2dp5dt). The date they gave me to test originally falls whilst I'm on holiday so the nurse made me an appointment to have a blood test to check HCG levels before I go instead.
I forgot to ask what the procedure is for this. Do they test it there and then and tell you the result? Or do they do the test and then call you afterwards? Just want to be prepared for what's gonna happen as I'd originally expected to do the test myself at home.
Hope someone who's had this test will know.
Thanks x

My clinic said to come between 8 & 10 on 5th (my transfer was the same day as you) for bloods then they would call me later with result. When is OTD for you? X
5th, same as you! It would've been 9th as my clinic don't routinely use the blood test. How are you doing? I've already convinced myself it'll be negative! x
I couldn't wait that long, i'd develop a nervous twitch or something! Going crazy as it is! I had some crampy/ twinges last night and this morning. Trying not to analyse everything yet have been watching youtube and googling away.
I was positive before thinking no reason why it shouldn't work for us but now i have fleeting thoughts like what if i'm patting my tummy lovingly and there's actually nothing there!
Been getting cramps day 1 & 2 although haven't felt them so far today. Feels exactly like period pains though so even though I know it's probably the progesterone I still feel a bit disheartened. But can only wait and see I guess!
Hi ladies. I'm in the same wait. I had cramps 15hours after transfer and the following day and now nothing. I need to stop analysing it. Hardly slept last night 😞
No, they were just general cramps rather than one side in particular. My clinic told me not to have a bath after transfer but I didn't ask why as I don't use the bath anyway. Sure it's not an issue but maybe check before having loads of them!
Thanks. Thought it might be due to infection risk. Haven't used the bath in years anyway as I much prefer a shower so never really bothered to ask why!
Must be different depending on the clinic as i phoned today and they said fine, although i think i will still have it warm and not the usual scalding hot as this would be advised if pregnant xx
