Random question but is it best to avoid dying your hair during IVF?
Hair Dye???: Random question but is it... - Fertility Network UK
Hair Dye???
If your going to a hairdresser then I think it should be fine? Probably need to be careful if using a home dye kit though?! I think Holland and Barrett have a range which is safe to use during pregnancy though 🙂 Xxx
I avoided hair dye till now, bought the Holland & Barrett stuff. Gonna use it on the weekend, been afraid to use it till now as it's henna and worried it will go orange and won't be able to remove!! Apparently the jury is out on dying your hair with normal dye, I thought it was not OK but apparently now is OK! Advice is so confusing 😕
I read that red and brown dyes are worse and that anything that touches your head is worse. Foil highlights are apparently not as bad but I've been growing mine out. Looks hideous, lol x
Thanks lovelies for your responses may leave it just to be on the safe side! X
Colour wow is okay, I'd use that instead. It's a bit of pain but it's like an eye shadow for hair, you brush it in. It doesn't seem toxic like those awful root colour sprays.
I dont love the product, it can feel a bit annoying to the hair but its probably safer. xx
I wasn't sure on this either! So I went and got mine done the week before my embryo transfer just in case xx
I asked about this during our recent cycle and was told by the nurse that it was ok.
I asked this today (as well as the bath question I posted about!) and she said to do it now rather than later - I'm stimming and hopefully EC next Thursday. She said not to do it in the first trimester 💙
I only avoided it during the 2ww and then once I got pregnant, during the first twelve weeks.
