Hey everybody! I'm writing from the lovely UK instead of humid Qatar, already hit up the marks and spencers food court at the airport mmmmmmm! I'm in the UK for my cousins wedding which will be day 1 of my cycle. My doctor told me to start clomid on day 2 or 3, my question is- do you think it's ok to have a few drinks at the wedding? It is not worth not drinking for the 'oh my god you're pregnant!' Chat cause im not! Also during getting it on😉 week DH and I are going to the Maldives for a long weekend, we want to relax, have few drinks, eat and generally be care free! Do you think I'm going to be in a grump with clomid? Half of me is thinking to leave it to the following month but then other half is like it's better as the Maldives will be getting lots of action😉
Cheers guys!

My experience of clomid was a little awful. Hot flashes, sweats, headaches and terrible mood. Just felt intensely sad, angry and then ok and then sad etc. I think it's really important during this journey (and this is something I'm just learning) to not let it take over your whole life. It sounds like you have a lovely couple of weeks ahead and you should allow yourself to enjoy that. One month of waiting to start the clomid won't hurt and if your more relaxed when you try.. it might even help the clomid work.
Hi Violet5451🙋 thanks for telling about your clomid experience, sounds grim!😥 100% agree with you about not letting ttc take over your life, easier said than done though! Good luck with up and coming ivf😚😚
I say have a drink if you want to, just don't get slammed! Clomid turned me into a nutcase so I only did 2 cycles, so you may not feel like it anyway. You must live your life, have a good time and enjoy yourself xx
Thanks Hannah143! Think I'm leaning towards not taking it this cycle, would be complete pants to be on holiday and not be able to shift a stinking mood! I'll have a pina colada for all you lovely ladies 😉🍹😚
Enjoy the lovely things you have going on. Nothing will effect the chlomid working. Love the fact your back and in M&S buying Percy's! Your medication is going to improve the amount of eggs you release at ovulation so timing and being happy and relaxed is more important. Enjoy your stay xx
I had clomid last time around (along with Menopur) and can honestly say I must have been really lucky as I wouldn't have known I was on them. Physically, mentally, emotionally I was no different. I had low doses of both but still, no changes in myself. So I guess my point is, you may be absolutely fine. Also, they do advice taking a baby make-ation as you are relaxed etc. A few glasses of wine won't hurt at this stage. Just do what feels right for you 😁
