hi everyone, I’m currently on clomid but go on holiday in 2 days and will have 3 days of clomid to take.
does alcohol decrease the effectiveness of clomid? I know I’m terms of fertility alcohol should be reduced or avoided anyway but as going away I’m not sure whether I’ll be ok to have some. I just don’t want to decrease the chances.
Thanks I’m advance x

I would suggest you do a quick google/instagram search of “clomid crazies” and see how you feel about adding alcohol to the mix From my experience and seemingly others, clomid makes you feel extra dramatic, so alcohol I think would exasperate that.
Further, alcohol causes inflammation in the body, which prevents your endocrine and digestive systems from working properly. If you can manage, maybe stay off it for the time being.
Thanks so much, yeah iv read loads I have been on clomid for a number of months and not drank when taking but as I’m going on holiday I maybe would of had a few drinks over the week but worried it will make the clomid less effective?
Ignore it… people are very stressed and often don’t think how things come across…
I would suggest you ask your clinic. If they say yes, a couple of glasses to relax might not be the end of the world but maybe don’t go made because of the points above. If they say no… then that’s great as it takes away the second guessing. I’m about to go on holiday and would love a cocktail by the pool but got BFP on Weds so happy to miss out this time. Enjoy your holiday most importantly x
I would just ask the clinics opinion and then you are doing everything by the book and giving yourself the best chance of success. I ended up going on holiday and couldn’t drink, I didn’t end up pregnant and in fact would have loved a drink just to relax from it all but I’m glad I didn’t just for the reassurance I gave myself the best chance. X
