Rubella

Hi all. So I had my blood test done at ivf consent sigining appointment. Tests results showed that I am not immune to rubella. Have my rubella injection booked in for Tuesday. Anyone been through similar and if so what next?

Was this a routine test? I don't know if i have had this test.

It was a routine test done at the same time as the HIV and Hep B blood tests. I'm just that 1 in 50 that is not immune.

If your treatment is nhs you should have time to get the vaccine. I had a 9 month waiting list after the bloods. Think it takes 3 months for the vaccine to take effect.

My ivf starts at my next period. Any day now. There is no longer a 3 month wait

I was the same and just had to have the vaccine, I was told I couldn't ttc for a month after, my ivf started a few months later. Just check with your clinic that they are aware you have just had the vaccine. The nurse who gives it you should give you the info leaflet with do's and don't's though.
