3 weeks post transfer & craving processed foods. Is this normal? Please note this is a post free from mentioning clinics in the Ukraine lol.

I'm craving rubbish food. Is this normal? I looked up online and I really shouldn't have any food cravings yet. But, I've gone off tea and I'm usually a tea pot - I could eight cups a day.

Is it just comfort eating?

P.s. Any posts mentioning clinics in the Ukraine will be reported lol.

Thank you. No clinics in the Ukraine were harmed during the making of this post lol.

Don't know if it's normal, although I started craving fairy cakes not long after my bfp.

I love this post, genius!! 😂😂😂 xx

They have to be like the ones your Mum used to make, with buttercream and the little wings. My local Co.op do some good "homemade" ones but failing that they're pretty easy to make xx

CAAAAKKKKE.. yes, that was another hit.. fairy cakes. Darn I want one now. xx

Cake, cake, cake and more cake!!! Lol! I am usually a chocoholic but I I'm more interested in cake at the moment. Also had to ban myself from buying chocolate brazils as could eat a truckload of them in one go!! Randomly I haven't put on a pound, I think my metabolism has gone mental

First of all: LOL...nice one! :)

Secondly, yes, yes and yes! Hubby and I eat healthily on a day-to-day basis, with a splurge on the weekends, but ever since the end of my TWW, all I am interested in is pizza, cinnamon danish, mac and cheese, sausage rolls, Pot O' Noodle...are you seeing the trend???!!! I haven't fought it though. I figure anything that distracts me from the nausea and heartburn is not only permitted, it is mandatory! :)

And now you've mentioned cinnamon danish.. Oh my god girls.. I want fries, cinnamon danish and a fairy cake for dinner.

And yes, i had super noodles chicken flavour cravings too.

This is all so funny...

• in reply to

You girls are allowed these cravings, Im not. Not even actually started the FET drugs yet (am delaying as have massive fear about it this time, which is odd I know)...

So, on a serious note, re cravings. This is totally normal. I was shocking.. when I could eat which wasn't often between the 6-9 stage - i just wanted fries.. fries.. fries.. milkshake and more fries..

I think my son is 50% fries.

If you look at my other posts, you will see how darned healthy I was when I did IVF, and I've just started this food regime again in prep for FET.. but not as strict this time..

It all went out of the window when I got the BFP. I hated veg from the start.. which was weird as I'd spent 20 years being a veggie.

So yeah- totally normal.

I've heard the fries and super noodles are particularly good in Ukraine. xxx :-) :-)

I guess pot noodles and super noodles are good price in Ukraine and they pick you up from airport and take you to shop. Clinic staff speaking excellent english.

Now you made me think about sugary ring donuts x btw I've more posts coming and one my include my cat. I'm determined to have a Ukraine clinic free news feed day. Well, it might work for one day!

• in reply toCountryCat

Thing is, all true. I put on sooo much weight after the sickness went. I just didnt care, after spending 10 years TTC and 6 months of healthy eating before that.

Yummy, a dough based child. nom nom nom. How many weeks are you now? In fact how many weeks are you all? I lose track, soz xx

Yup, dough-baby! Step aside Pilsbury Dough Boy, there's a new kid in town!

On a serious note: 12 + 1 today with dating scan happening on Tuesday morning. We are SO hoping to be told all is well, as we have only told parents and my employer (I work for a family-owned business) so far and it would be lovely to be able to share it (in a dignified way, no mega spamming of scan pictures!) with friends xx Thanks for asking and there is no way you can keep track of everyone on here ;)

• in reply toCountryCat

Huge congratulations. Lovely news. Good luck with that scan on Tuesday. Let us know how it goes.

I remember my 12 week scan, I was missing a piece of paperwork and they didnt want to scan me. OMG I was so stressed and we had to beg and blame the midwife. The lady as reception just wasn't interested. Then a conic consultant came out, heard the conversation and offered to scan me. Phew!!

Oh lord! How massively stressful 😱 I hold my breath until the sonographer speaks...those first few minutes...you could cut the tension with a knife. I guess I won't ever truly relax but I am trying hard to be less anxious xx

I'm 3 weeks post de fet and the clinic said that makes me 5 weeks. I have my my 7 week scan on the 16th August. I'm sure I read about the need to eat healthy during pregnancy but like you, after ttc for 5 years and 4 rounds of ivf I just want to give into the food cravings. My OH was not impressed. My bum has never been so big. Lol

Congratulations to you too Hampshiregal.

The time will pass quickly, especially with all this silliness here :-))

Hurry up the 16th August. :-)

keep us in the loop xxx
