I have endometriosis and had to go through ivf. I have my miracle boy. I always thought I would have two children and now time and other factors seem against me. My boy is 2 years old now and since then we have been trying for another one. 2 years down the line and my oh has said he doesn't think I will want to stop at 2 and keep wanting more. He also isn't really wanting another one himself and is only doing it for me. Am I fair to keep trying and pushing it. I am heartbroken sitting here writing this.

My friend has endo and has had the laparoscopy once or twice. She is on her way to her third baby. Get as much help as you can to treat your condition. A sibling for your son isn't an unreasonable thing to want. Your OH will be over the moon when it happens. Good luck x

Hi there, your story is very similar to me and husband! I had/have severe endo and we have a miracle 18 mths old boy from our first ivf and I knew I wanted more when he was 6 months old. We have tried naturally but that wasn't working. My hubby also isn't keen on another one but has said yes to IVF for me! I see that as a compromise in marriage! I didn't really want a ridiculously expensive camper van but he did - we got it cos it made him happy! The way I see it is It's all about give and take in a marriage and this is something that I really want to do.

However, we set our stall out at the beginning, 1 go and 1 go only (I am currently stimming now). That's my compromise! Oh and if I'm lucky enough to fall again then that's it, no more!

I don't feel I pushed him into it at all. He is giving something to me as part of our marriage. I know in 2/3 years time if it all works out then he will be so thankful that I did!

I say go for it, set your stall out at the beginning and reassure him that it's no way near as stressful this time as it was the first! Good luck xxxx
