DHEA and pregnancy

Just curious is there anyone who took dhea and got pregnant using ivf ? I know many say there got better egg quality and possibly got some tp freeze unlike other rounds.

I took DHEA and whilst I didn't achieve a pregnancy my eggs definitely got better, had more eggs and even had a blastocyst on last cycle. Defo worth a try I think!!xx

That's what I reckoned! I'd check with your clinic....good coming from me that had already started taking it before I asked!!!😂😂 You need to give it around 3 months for best results. if you Google a guy called Dr Gleiser in new York, he's done a few videos as to why he believes in it!xx

Lol lol i was petrified of asking mine i dont know why i wish id asked last time .I have checked with clinic they said no harm in trying, where did u get yours from? If you don't mind me asking and which ones? X

That's what mine said but it turns out that they're actually recommending them although not prescribing. I got mine from Biovea. I took 3x25mg so 75 per day. They do sat micronized is best but it's hard to get your hands on! Didn't feel that different, perhaps slightly greasier hair and the odd spot. Best of luck!!xx

Thank you, I seen the micronised too but on another forum someone said there's had got stopped at customs they weren't bought through biovea though.x

I've not taken it but am considering it. My consultant said it was ok to take but my acupuncturist said it has side affects x

I asked my consultant and he said there are no side effects which I know isn't true but I think most ladies on here say They get very little x

I took it and whilst I didn't get pregnant using it, I defo had more and better eggs and that was the only thing I changed. I also didn't have any side effects at all. Good Luck xxx

Hi I took DHEA on my first cycle and got pregnant now 5+4 Its hard to say if it improved my egg quality as I don't have a previous round to compare to when I didn't take it if that makes sense. Its worth mentioning I am also 44 and used my own eggs. I have never heard anything negative and only positive comments about it. I took 75mg a day. I didn't notice any side affects. Good luck xxxx

Hi Patty, I think it was for about 2 months before and right up to egg collection. Our eggs take 3 months to develop so everything we can do during that period will help eg. no drinking, smoking, exercise, healthy diet will really help xxx Good luck

I stopped taking it as soon as I had my transfer on instruction of my consultant. I bought mine from Biovea I also took Ubiquinol at the same time as I heard that is really good for egg quality too xxx

I know hehe, I felt like I was taking loads but hey I am pregnant so have to put some faith in the fact that something worked I have stopped taking everything now and am on Pregnacare Max, but also took Pregnacare conception for 3 months before cycle too xx

Yes if it works it will all be worth it lol lol. Yeah I'm already on pregnacare god I think I've been taking that for about 3 years 🤣. Xx
