Hi ladies

Well I'm off to Istanbul and starting treatment on Thursday 😐

Mixed emotions tbh excited and nervous I think I'm overthinking as o started the oral contraceptive like my clinic asked and I have side effects lol migranes sickened etc so I'm thinking i hope I don't have side effects to the med for ivf.

Anywho my OH seems to think I'm goin to turn in to a monster his friends wives have had ivf so there scaring my hubby saying be ready for the hormones.

What exactly am I goin to feel mood swings? Is it really that bad ladies I'd rather here it from here than my OH lol so I'm mentally prepared.

Helpppp x

It is no where near as bad as you can imagine! I'm on round 3 and I'd do another if this don't work 😘 don't worry x

We're all different and we all react differently. I really don't think I'm that bad during treatment however my OH disagrees lol xx

I didn't have any side effects and was on the highest dose of merional. I'd warned my husband to have a lot of patience and that I'd become the devil but I wasnt. A little emotional due to nerves but nothing else. X

Hi there. Oh sometimes I wish people weren't so keen on passing on negative experiences and advise on the category 'watch out, this will be awful'!! I don't think think the drugs itself changed my mood etc. At all. The treatment itself is an emotional rollercoaster because you get many scans throughout the process and get lots of updates (how many eggs? How big? How fast are they growing or not growing etc ) and you get some physical side effects. So I would say, yes, this is stressful, but infertility itself is stressful ;)! The drugs honestly don't turn you into a monster, you just go through a treatment that is sometimes emotional because the stakes are so high. So you and your OH just keep supporting yourselves and be kind with each other and you'll be fine. Good luck!!

Nope I had no side effects only not being able to lose any weight while using nasal sprays. In fact I had to keep asking the clinic if it was working as I didn't feel any different & thought I'd be a hormonal mess! Good luck and try to stay happy & excited for your journey - it all helps with the nerves xx
