I had my egg collection yesterday morning and as the days gone on the pain around my ovaries has got worse. I've taken paracetamol but it's not shifted the pain. I feel sickly and generally achy too. I've take myself to bed.

Is it normal to feel like this xx

I found once the day of egg collection I was okay - I think because the painkillers they gave me hadn't worn off. But the next day was pretty awful! I also stayed on the sofa watching box sets and taking lots of paracetamol. Hope you feel better soon x

Hi I had EC 2 weeks ago and was really quite poorly, my stomach became more swollen over the next couple of days and has only really gone back to normal now over the last few days. I had to have codeine at first then was able to manage with paracetamol. I hope you feel better soon xx Drink lots of water even if you don't feel like it and feel bloated, it really does help and will keep OHSS at bay too xx

Ask your doctor, he\she should know what would be better for you.

It is not normal condition but rather common.

P.S.: In the near future all of this is waiting for me.

Hi Mrsgled1982. Oh dear, so sorry to hear this. All you can do is to rest when you can and drink loads of water. If the paracetamol is not helping, then ask your GP to prescribe something else. No anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Keep an eye on your urine out put and if it should go right down you need to see a doctor. Hope all soon settles for you. Thinking of you. Diane
