Egg Collection

Hi, my fourth IVF cycle is going really well so far and I feel very calm surprisingly. Just had my half way tracking scan which was good and showing good stimulation so my egg collection is planned for Thursday. My Dr is brilliant and I'm very happy at the hospital I'm at I'm just a little worried about the egg collection. Previously at my private clinic I was sedated and totally out of it for this procedure whereas at the hospital they give you a morphine drip and gas and air. I'm just worried this won't be enough and I'll be in pain! Has anyone had egg collection just with pain relief and found it ok?? Thanks xxx

Where I live it's only morphine drip and local anaesthetic and honestly perfectly fine! I had two cycles this way. Good luck

Hi Isa84. Just wanted to wish you well with your egg collection Thursday. I'm sure your clinic will look after you, and make sure you've plenty of sedation on board. Make sure you have a good rest afterwards. Fingers crossed for you. Diane
