After being on this group a while and realising how supportive everyone is I thought I'd share my story so far..
My husband and I have been trying for 5 years, I've always had regular periods so I'm sure like many of us I never dreamt there would be a problem. After going to my GP and having blood tests which showed I don't ovulate we was referred to our fertility clinic. I then had further tests which showed I also have PCOS and endometriosis.
In March 2015 I had a laparoscopy to clear my tubes, removed some of the endometriosis and ovarian drilling. I was then able to start clomid, 50mg for 5 months and 100mg for 2 with no success.
Last year I had my first cycle of IVF, 6 embryos fertilised, 5 frozen and 1 put back which resulted in falling pregnant but miscarrying at 9 1/2 weeks ๐ข I have since had 2 unsuccessful fet in November 2016 and March 2017. Currently I'm waiting to see my consultant to hopefully start again in July to have my last frozen embryo transferred.
Not many of my friends are even thinking about having children yet and although they try so hard to be there for me and understand I feel like I bore them keep going on.
What are you stories? Being able to post on here helps me so much, I'm always up for a chat if anyone ever fancies one ๐xx

Hi E_05! You did the right choice here That's always important to have people to talk to.. and that goes much better if they are in the subject.. and know ins and outs.. That's a great community and I'm sure you'll get good advice and support here.. As for my fertility journey.. to cut it short I have to say it had endometriosis, problems with tubes .. 2 iuis that went first and 3d ivf that followed them ... each of them resulted in either BFN or M/C.. Now I'm on my way with the 4th one but using donor egg.. and outside UK this time.. Hope you'll soon get good news from your doctor and will be able to start the next ivf round.. x
Thank you for your reply and so sorry for your losses, what a journey you've already had. Hope you don't mind me asking, I don't know much about using donor eggs..was it something you decided or your consultant recommended? Hope it all goes well for you, hopefully the 4th time will be lucky for us both x
Of course, you may ask those questions.. not a problem at all.. Definitely I wouldn't try donor eggs but for the doctors recommendations. The thing is that with mine it doesn't work as you can see.. there are many presuppositions .. I mean diseases that may take you to the donor eggs. In general the reason for all of them here is that your ovaries do not function properly.. Then you should have someone's else egg fertilized with your partner's sperm and put inside your womb.. provided it is in good condition in spite of the ovaries.. That's it... in brief of course.. If you have any other questions feel free to ask it here..
Thank you, it must have been a hard decision to make but very brave. My consultant has said my embryos are all good quality so he doesn't understand why there not 'sticking'. So if he doesn't know I'm not sure how I'm meant to?! Lol did you decide to go out of the UK for this cycle?
