Hope everyone in the 2ww is surviving and thriving?! I'm doing ok except for a few aches and pains that I'm putting down to the lovely crinone and remnants of egg collection!
Not sure if you guys remember but last week I had 7 lovely eggs that made it to embies. 1 lovely embie was popped into "the oven" on a 2dt (My clinic strangely does these as standard which worries me as I always thought 5dt gave the best chance of success?!)...anyway I was also lucky enough to put 3 more in the freezer (which was unexpected!)
That left 3/7 that the clinic were going to try and grow to blastocyst but they said the chance of any of them achieving this was small. I'd put it out of my mind as I was happy with what I'd got...anyway....
Had a call from the clinic yesterday to say 2/3 had made it to blastocyst stage and had gone to join the other totsicles in their frozen home! I can't believe we have 5 in the freezer now when my biggest stress last week was getting any at all. We only get 1 fresh go on the nhs but a further 2 x frozen so this is a weight off my mind π
Not sure if this is a standard process in other clinics, but it's put my mind at rest that my 2dt should have achieved 5dt if my clinic had offered it.
Hope this brings hope to anyone else who has had 2dt/3dt as standard!
Now I'm off to "relax" for a few days until I start wondering if it's too early to test lol!
Xx

That's great news. Good luck I am having my transfer today then will be joining the crazy 2ww π
This is brilliant news! You must be so happy with that result! How areas choose their ivf fundings are so unfair. I'm very fortunate to get 3 rounds paid for so with you only get one I hope more than anything that this round works for you, but how nice to have that many frozen, almost a football team!! I have had no symptoms π’ Previously I always have so trying to remain positive but I feel so normal that I can't see that this round has worked for me. I hope you go on to get your BFP ππxx
Thanks baby2016, the most annoying thing is we had to move 120 miles away from our friends and family due to work in 2015. Under our old postcode we got 3 x fresh goes so we on purpose chose wiltshire which offered the same even though we both worked an hour away in Hampshire. One week before our funding appointment wiltshire changed to only 1 go!!! We were distraught as we live with long commutes every day now so this seems like fate that we have so many frosties waiting for their time...β (imagine these fingers the other way round to wiltshire health council lol!)
Omg!! I can only imagine how distraught you were, but as you say every cloud has a silver lining and hopefully you'll only need this round of which you could end up with a full family from this go π Everything happens for a reason as they say! Xx
Very true...we didn't even find out til we were about to start treatment as no one told us the number had changed. We were left feeling like fate was telling us it's not meant to be. Now we feel back in the game! π
Amazing news! Yay frosties!! βοΈβοΈ We had a bonus one frozen as well π Hope you manage to get some proper relaxation in (I'm just pretending to relax haha) xxx
Tbh I'm still pretty chilled about the 2ww...I think the acupuncture helps but im currently trying to remain zen and think what will be, will be! Wonder how long this stage lasts?! π
Well that's good news! You're nearly halfway through your wait now so you're doing well will you be testing Friday morning or have a sneaky on thurs night? Xxx
