By the time I post this I'll be on UK soil. But I write it 36,000 feet in the air, lying across three seats with poor Mr Emu taking the brunt of my hefty legs...while I semi-lie down...
Pessary time. Mid-flight. I had to share with you. I checked with my clinic; they wanted me to lie down as much as possible at point of pessary taking. Regardless of that was possible on the journey home...they did want me to insert one on the Boeing 757-200 Larnaca to Leeds Bradford.
Now, I've read books... I've watched tv shows and films... ones where a young beautiful couple driven with lust after seeing each other at a check in queue... sneak to the onboard facilities for a quickie together before returning to their seats. Whatever positions they have pulled let me tell you... they are nothing compared to the position I have just pulled trying to get a pessary inside me; legs up in stirrup position against the toilet door praying the door doesn't bolt straight open and the poor Jet2 male crew member doesn't have the flight of his life. Sorry... I mean fright. Quietly muttering "ffs", to myself hoping it's going in right, "It's too bloody late now, its in."
I'm so excited to get home. To my own bed. To my cat. To the rain.
I felt a bit of a tug inside as I left Cyprus at tea time. Leaving with two embryos tucked up inside me; leaving a lady who has given me a chance (or two!) of something I could only dream of. Being a Mother. I was taking two little connections to her away with me to my own country. I vowed to go back; if it works. To show our precious gift where it all began.
Fingers crossed it works. If it doesn't? I'm honoured to have had this chance. And the stressing/symptom checking/hormonal tears; of course. xx

Welcome back home... Ha ha...you have to look at the funny side of it all... I could write a book on the wierd and wonderful places I have inserted or injected over last 2 and a half years... We would go mad if we didn't laugh. I feel same about visiting Greece in future like you Cyprus... Wishing you all the best for a BFP.... š xxx
