Poor men! We forget them all in this process sometimes. They have issues that just aren't on the advert for IVF treatment!

WANTED! One man who can deal with crazy hormonal woman for 6 weeks. Must be willing to ejaculate on demand. Do not expect much romance.

Oh my poor husband. I've been really busy at work this week. We've barely seen each other.

I texted him this yesterday...

"don't forget it could be jizz day. Or tomorrow could be... The lady said: "if he can have at least 3 no more than 5 days of abstinence prior to treatment . Cyprus wont know your first appointment until your donor has her final scan and the date of her egg collection is decided" Guess that depends whether today is 4 days before Monday or 3... X"

Clear as mud? Correct.

We don't know whether EC will be Monday or Tuesday! Our consultant just told him in February to 'keep it up'! He did the deed yesterday while I was busy in meetings. Then this morning was the mother of all panics. 3 days!!! 4 would be better!!! And oh no! If EC is monday.... then he only abstained for two days! We've ruined it. It won't work. My jizzing instructions have made it go wrong. So then he counted the hours to reassure ourselves!! If EC was 10am Monday - then that would have been 72 hours. Which is 3 days.

Bloody hell. Poor husband.

Haha, poor hubby. My OH will know how he feels! A similar thing happened to us yesterday for EC. We were surprised to hear that it was happening yesterday (3 days earlier than we thought) and they only gave us 2 days notice. Well due to stims and hormonal me and swollen uncomfortable belly we hadn't, you know, in a few days! Panic stations. So Weds avo (4pm), we did it and then come Friday morning when he gave his sample - it wasn't good enough, aaaarrrrgggghhhh. She said it was cloudy and dirty?! So bless him, he felt terrible and then had to go again. We didn't get the call until 4pm that the 2nd sample was better (how after less time I don't know) and they mixed the 2 samples together creating a good enough sample for IVF. Now I'm worried - is 'good enough' good enough?! We'll get the call around ten am to say who of the 9 eggs made it through the party stages... 🤞

Haha your post made me smile ivf really does kill any kind of romance, the guys just seem to get on with it I don't know how they manage to go into a room and do their business bless them, im sure you will frantically worry about every tiny detail but your in good hands and im sure all will go to plan xxx

😂😂 this is brilliant.

During our cycles and nearing egg collection I was constantly giving my hubs instructions and then sometimes I would get mixed up and phone him like "stop" if you havent already I made a mistake. Poor guys!!

Very funny! I've done the same crazy calculations desperately in my head when my EC was earlier than expected. Unfortunately when you're drugged up, hormoned up & don't know what day of the week it even is half the time, trying to count up hours is near on impossible! It's all such a blur. We have to see the funny side!! Wishing you all the very best of luck x x

I've just read your post to my husband and he didn't half chuckle, he tells me he's glad he's not the only one whose wife has more control over his 'pair' than he does! I tried to make light of the situation when he has his date with the pot by adding a lace trim and a small candle 😀😀
